The Suzhou Executive Academy (SEA)
The Suzhou Executive Academy (SEA) is a unique education platform and information hub created by International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) to serve business leaders in the Yangtze River Delta region. SEA events bring together a community of like-minded business and academic professionals and offer global insights into a variety of current business issues, as well as unique access to a high-level executive network.
China’s multifaceted economy, combined with its complex and dynamic regulatory environment, creates both opportunities and challenges for those doing business, working, or studying here. Thus, SEA seeks to highlight the most pressing and relevant business, economic and social issues facing the business community. It seeks to combine business best practices, the latest international academic points of view (created through in-depth knowledge and research), and the practical know-how of key individuals from public and leading private organisations.
The SEA organises seminars during which a topic is presented and debated among expert participants in a friendly academic environment. SEA events allow executives and entrepreneurs to meet business and academic peers from a spectrum of industries and backgrounds in an open knowledge-sharing platform.
Leading to Practice Workshop
“Leading to Practice” is a series of regular workshops designed to enhance clients’ ability to manage and lead people by developing essential soft skills. Our professors and industry experts will provide hands-on guidance in several key areas. The sessions are highly interactive, offering clients opportunities to practice the skills. The workshops also serve as a networking platform where clients can exchange reflective ideas with professionals and peers from different sectors and backgrounds.
BIT More Seminar
“BIT More” (Business, Innovation, Technology, do more with IBSS) is a series of monthly seminars designed to expand participants’ knowledge and support them in developing a growth mindset. Our professors and industry experts provide unique insights on trending topics in business, innovation, and technology.
Each seminar focuses on a specific subject, enabling participants and speakers to have in-depth discussions on the theories and practices surrounding this subject, as well as the future outlook and implications for the industry. The seminars also serve as a community for participants to exchange ideas with professionals and peers from similar sectors and backgrounds.
Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Talk
The “Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Talk” is a unique online talk series initiated in April 2020. It is held every other Wednesday to draw attention to the changing business-related topics that are presenting themselves in the world today. From specialist topics to popular and practical themes, the sessions are designed to stimulate conversations about trending business concepts and skills within our corporate community and beyond.
