On May 19th, the final of National English Competition for College Students in Jiangsu Region was held at Southeast University Sipailou Campus. Through the fierce competition, our students won 4 Special Awards and 12 First prizes in the final.
Peng Yixuan from the School of Foreign Languages won the Special Award of B Class in NECCS in 2024. Qi Siyu from the School of Marxism, Wang Ziyi from the School of Mathematical Sciences and Zhang Miaosheng from the School of Medicine won Special Awards of C Class in NECCS. And the remaining 12 students won First Prizes.
After the preliminary round, the School of Foreign Languages organized a team of experienced teachers to give the 16 students (1 in Class A, 1 in Class B and 14 in Class C) collective teaching and one-on-one tutoring before the final round, which proved to be very effective. The School of Foreign Languages will continue to promote the learning, practice and use of foreign languages through competitions in order to improve students' integrated English language competence and innovation skills.
