School Profile

In 2001, the former Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Zhenjiang Medical College, and Zhenjiang Teachers College were merged to form Jiangsu University, and in the same year, the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) was founded. The SFL currently has 5 undergraduate majors: English, English (Teacher Education), English (Mutual Recognition of Credits between China and the United States), Japanese, and Linguistics. It has one master's degree program in the first-level discipline of Foreign Language & Literature and one professional master's degree program of MTI (Master of Translation and Interpreting). The English major is a national first-class major (under construction), and the course "College English" is one of the first national first-class courses and the first batch of curriculum-based ideological and political education demonstration courses in Jiangsu Province.
