The German law exerted a far-reaching influence on the legal system of Asian countries. Asian countries followed and developed the German law. Under such circumstance, a comparative study of Asian and German law and a study among Asian countries is of vital theoretical and practical significance. Hence, the China University of Political Science and Law launches the Asia-Germany Constitution Forum and organizes regular seminars, providing Asian and German scholars with a platform for academic exchanges.

The China-Germany Law Institute is going to hold a symposium on Private Autonomy in Beijing on May 25 and 26, 2013. So far, certain experts and scholars come from Germany, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and China has confirmed attendance. The formal language will be German.
