Pan Deng gives an interview to Russia Today TV on Putin's visit to China

On the eve of Russian President Putin's state visit to China from 16 to 17 May, A/Prof. Pan Deng from the College gave an interview to the Russia Today TV on four issues, including the particularity of China-Russian relations reflected by this visit, the global significance of bilateral relations, the role played by the two countries in promoting international equity and justice, as well as the unlawfulness of abusing unilateral sanctions and ‘long-arm jurisdiction’. During Putin's visit, the station's Spanish-language channel aired the interview at different times of the hourly news.

Russia Today TV is a multilingual news agency affiliated with the state-owned RIA Novosti. It began broadcasting on 10 December, 2005. Through the 24-hour broadcasting respectively on its Russian channel, Spanish channel, Arabic Channel and two English channels RT International and RT America, in the global broadcast, Russia Today has a broad influence on the western world and public opinion guidance. Its Spanish channel is aimed at audiences in Latin America, the southern United States and Spain.
