As part of its requirements to the Chinese Ministry of Education, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University must organise annual military training for its undergraduate Mainland Chinese students. This training is coordinated by the Physical Education Centre in collaboration with local army divisions.
The week-long training covers theoretical study on China’s national security policy and the global security situation, as well as physical training based on armed forces procedures.
The training increases students’ awareness of the career opportunities available in the military, as well as improving their fitness and discipline.
