Abstract

At this exchange event, we are privileged to have invited core members of the creative team behind "Spatial Traveller," the principal creators of China's first spatial video micro-film. The team will share their journey of exploration in the emerging field of spatial video since the project's inception, as well as how they have integrated technology and art to provide audiences with an immersive visual experience.

"Spatial Traveller" was produced at the invitation of Canon China and PICO and is a pioneering work in the field of spatial video creation in China. It not only represents forward-looking attempts in artistic form and technology but also successfully made it to the finals of the 37th China Golden Rooster Awards and the 3rd Golden Rooster VR Film Festival. The team will discuss the creative process of "Spatial Traveller," exploring how this work stands out amidst the transformation of Chinese imaging technology and narrative techniques, while also engaging in dialogue with international cutting-edge trends in spatial video creation.

In recent years, with the continuous development of VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) technologies, spatial video has gradually become a new frontier in international image creation. However, the development of this field in China is still in its infancy. Since the inception of the project, the "Spatial Traveller" creative team has been committed to combining traditional Chinese narrative aesthetics with cutting-edge technology to pave new paths for image creation. In this lecture, they will reveal how to use spatial video technology to build the future image world through exciting case analyses and exclusive behind-the-scenes sharing, while also finding a balance between cultural heritage and technological innovation.
