Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering (FESE) is a comprehensive English academic journal in the field of environmental science and engineering jointly sponsored by Tsinghua University, the Higher Education Press and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. It is distributed globally by Springer, an internationally renowned publisher. Academician Qu Jiuhui of Tsinghua University and Academician John C. Crittenden of Georgia Institute of Technology serve as the chief editor. The editorial department is located in the School of Environment. FESE was officially launched in 2007 and has been included in SCI since the first issue in 2009. It is now a monthly magazine.

This journal receives original innovative review papers, research papers, views and comments, and newsletters from various branches of environmental science and engineering, and pays special attention to publishing research results of rapidly developing disciplines of environmental science and engineering and cross integration with other disciplines.

This journal is committed to disseminating a large number of outstanding academic achievements that have emerged rapidly, providing an ideal platform for the international environmental academic community to understand the development of China's environmental science and engineering discipline, and promoting the exchange and development of this discipline between China and the international academic community.
