主要研究内容:
DNA序列上的甲基化修饰(5mC)和组蛋白H2A.Z变体是两种重要且保守的表观遗传修饰,二者在植物全基因组整体层面相互拮抗而在局部特异性DNA序列上相互协同,进而对植物细胞的基因表达调控产生重要影响。5mC和H2A.Z等表观遗传修饰可充分释放植物表型可塑性的潜力,在调控番茄等蔬菜作物的生长发育、抗逆性和品质形成等过程中发挥重要作用。
DNA主动去甲基化是维持细胞5mC含量和分布的重要生物学过程,决定基因是否表达和表达水平。本人主要围绕番茄的经济性状(产量、品质和活性成分)形成过程中的环境塑造机制及其表观遗传调控,深入研究DNA去甲基化和组蛋白结构变化(如H2A.Z变体、乙酰化修饰等)在番茄植株对盐碱、低温、弱光等逆境胁迫的应答中以及在果实发育和功能活性物质积累中的机制、功能和应用,为优化设施蔬菜栽培提供新理论和新方法。
