On June 6th, Du Zhanyuan, vice-minister of Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, announced the decision of appointment that Zhao Ji would succeed Ding Lieyun as the president of Northeastern University (NEU). Staffs from related departments of Ministry of Education and Liaoning Provincial attended the meeting at NEU.
Professor Zhao Ji, male, born in February 1959, received doctor’s degree of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation in Jilin University of Technology. He was once the director of Office of Teaching Affairs of Jilin University of Technology, president assistant and the director of Office of Teaching Affairs of Jilin University, and served as vice-president of JilinUniversity since May 2003.
