关于受理国际学生延长学习期限和奖学金资助期限申请的通知

全校各院（系）、全体国际学生（研究生）：

To all schools and international graduates,

为做好2018届国际学生（仅限研究生）毕业管理工作，加强在校国际学生的管理，现将国际学生办理延长学习期限和奖学金资助期限有关事宜通知如下：

In order to perfect the graduation management work of international student in 2018, to strengthen the management of international students at school, the notice on schooling period and scholarship extension application is published as follows:

一、关于学习期限延长

1、Schooling Period Extension

因故不能按规定的学习年限毕业的学生，均应填写《华中科技大学国际学生延长学习期限申请表》（附件一），经所在院系审核后报国际教育学院审批。导师或院系负责人提出审核意见时，应明确国际学生需要继续在校学习的期限。

经学校审批通过、并继续缴纳学费的国际学生，方可继续在校学习、取得在华居留许可。否则，学生应在居留许可规定时间内离华。

International students, who can’t graduate on time within the period specified by the HUST Admission Notice for sound reasons, shall fill in Application Form for HUST Schooling Period Extension（Appendix1）, get approved by supervisor and the school /department (school stamp required).

Students whose application is approved by the university and tuition fees continued to pay, may continue to study in the university, get residence permit approval and enjoy other student rights. Otherwise, students shall leave China within the stipulated time of residence permit.

二、奖学金资助期限延长

2、Scholarship Extension

享受中国政府奖学金资助的博士生，确因学习原因无法正常毕业而继续申请奖学金资助的，可填写《中国政府奖学金延长奖学金期限申请表》（附件二），经导师和所在院系审核后，由学校报国家留学基金管理委员会审批。

Postgraduates sponsored by Chinese Government Scholarship, who can’t graduate on time and need extension, shall fill in Application Form for CSC Scholarship Extension, get approved by supervisor and the school/department (school stamp required).

学校仅受理博士生延长奖学金期限的申请，不受理其他类别学生的申请。博士研究生在校学习期间仅能提交一次资助期限延长申请，且延长期限不超过一个学年。非因学业原因导致学习期限延长或在校期间有不良表现记录的，学校不批准其资助期限延期申请。

According to the CSC policy, application for scholarship extension is only limited to doctoral candidate once. The extension period should be no longer than one year. Except for academic reasons and good performance of the applicants, HUST won’t accept the scholarship extension request.

延长学习期限及奖学金资助期限申请的受理截止日期为2018年4月19日17:00。学生将申请表交至所在院系，院系汇总评审表后，应于4月25日之前将评审表及相关附件一并提交至国际学生办公室。同济校区的院系提交至医科国际学生办公室。

Deadline for submitting Application Form is 5:00PM on April 19th, 2018. Application Forms should be summarized by departments and submitted to International Student Office together before April 25, 2018. Forms of Students in Tongji Campus should be submitted to Medical International Student Office.
