The National University Student “Rule of Law in China” Research Competition, namely the Congfa Cup, is a national discipline competition hosted by the East China University of Political Science and Law. It was organized by this university’s Institute for Social Development, Research Center for Law and Society and Institute of Social Research, and co-organized by the Congfa Information Technology Ltd.

Focusing on the theme of the Construction of Rule of Law in China, the competition actively promotes the construction of rule of law in China from the perspectives of personnel training, academic research and practical promotion through on-the-spot investigation and survey on particular issues.

The first competition received 166 contributions from a total of 65 colleges and universities in 26 provinces. After the preliminary examination and the semi-finals, 10 undergraduate and 10 graduate student team from all over the country advanced to the final. Because of the pandemic, the final was held online instead of onsite on 13 Nov, 2021.
