The College of Comparative Law held an informal discussion on the Fostering and Academic Advancement of Thoughts of Rule of Law on Xuyuanlu Campus on the afternoon of 25 Oct, 2021. This was the first of serial discussion on the Cultivation of International Legal Talents.

The meeting was held via online and onsite. Prof. He Haibo from the School of Law of Tsinghua University, Prof. Songhualin from the School of Law of Nankai University, Prof. Xie Libin from the College and A/Prof. Xu Wenming from the School of Law and Economics of CUPL gave a speech. Lecturers from the College Dr. Jiang Fengan and Dr. Ye Chen participated in the discussion. Dean of the College Prof. Xie Zhiyogng moderated the meeting. All students in the international legal talents experimental program from both the College and School of International Law attended the meeting.

The speakers talked about their studying and life experience, especially in learning methods, degree application and career development in foreign countries including the US, Germany, Italy and Netherlands. They encouraged the students to keep their advantages in foreign languages and work more on law modules according to scientific approaches. The students also shared their opinions and problems during the Q&A section.
