Professor Huang Zhengneng from University of Washington and Professor Yang Shiqiang from Tsinghua University were invited to give academic reports in CUIT. The reports, entitled as To Explore Visual Data from the Perspective of Human Tracking and The Challenge of Social MultiMedia Big Data Processing,were held in No. 1 Conference Room in Administrative Building with the attendance of more than 60 teachers and students from Computer Science College. Professor Huang and Professor Yang were employed as the Special Professor of Computer Science College.
Before the reports started, President Zhou Jiliu issued the certificates of employment for the two professors.
Professor Huang introduced character track processing and its application in ways of single camera, multiple cameras, mobile single camera, mobile multiple camera and showed the achievement of his research team in areas of a mobile tracking camera relocating 2D target in 3D space by using SfM and CMK technology.
Professor Yang introduced today's large video big data processing problems and the present situation from the aspects of Internet multimedia efficient use and smart service, social multimedia, and information modality in Internet Age. Furthermore, he encouraged postgraduates to do papers. He emphasized that participating in academic conference is an important way of academic exchange and teachers should grow up with postgraduate students.
After the reports, the two professors had in-depth communication with teachers and students present.
