Mr. Warwick Pitts, Director of Products and Planning of Wintec, Ms. Margi Moore, Director of Innovation Hub, Mr. Sam Cunnane, Head of School of Media Arts, Mr. Walley Qiu, Director of China Project came to CUIT. The delegation visited the College Students Innovation Open Labs, Innovative Entrepreneurial Base, Chengchuang Space, Chengdu Research Institute andTopplus, a company incubated by CUIT, accompanied by CUIT representatives including Gong Guanying, Dean of Chengdu Research Institute, Liu Wei, Deputy Director of International Office, Gai Qiuyan, Section Chief of International Office, and Zhang Xiaoliang, Director of Innovation Office of Academic Affairs Office. Through this visit, the delegation had a better understanding of the 3-level Innovation Entrepreneurship Education Platform System and the incubation achievement of innovation and entrepreneurship of CUIT.
After the tour, a conference on how to promote the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project was carried out, on which the implementation plans were discussed with the attendance of President Zhou Jiliu, Dean of Chengdu Research Institute Gong Guanying and Deputy Director of International Office Liu Wei. Through the discussion, the following consensuses were reached: First, the two universities take turns to hold the International Competition of College students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Secondly, the two universities assign student teams and advisors respectively to carry out the Team Exchange Project. Thirdly, the two universities select excellent projects for incubation and carry out Incubation Enterprise Exchange Program.
