Achievements
After completing his PhD at the Technical University of Denmark, Dr. Li Qiyuan conducted advanced postdoctoral research at the Harvard Cancer Center, where he co-authored groundbreaking research published in Nature Medicine. Since joining Xiamen University School of Medicine in 2012, Professor Li has authored or co-authored 57 SCI-indexed papers in prestigious journals such as Genome Medicine and Briefings in Bioinformatics, with an H-index of 36 and a total citation count of 10,884. He currently leads two National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects and seven municipal research projects, participating in multiple national, provincial, and municipal R&D projects with a total funding of RMB 20 million.
Major Research Directions
Tumor Evolution Research: Utilizing statistical models to identify determinants associated with tumor classification, prognosis, and targeted therapy sensitivity from multi-omics data, including genetic polymorphisms, somatic mutations, epigenomics, and gene expression. Developing complex network models based on multi-omics associations and applying AI methods to discover novel tumor driver genes.
Prediction of Chromatin 3D Structure: Predicting chromatin 3D structures across cell lines using graph neural networks (GCN) frameworks with Hi-C data and expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL).
Single-cell Transcriptome Algorithm Research: Large-scale single-cell clustering algorithms based on K-means and Louvain; downsampling algorithms based on Minimal Unbiased Representative Points (MURP); temporal differentiation trajectory analysis and spatial reconstruction based on single-cell transcriptomes.
Studying T-lymphocyte evolution and transcriptional regulation in the maternal-fetal interface immune microenvironment using single-cell sequencing technology; investigating the impact of smoking on the lung cancer immune microenvironment through single-cell sequencing.
Studying the association between somatic mutation profiles from non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and tumorigenesis.
Medical Insurance Big Data Research: Specializing in the layout planning of medical insurance designated medical institutions and pharmacies. This project applies grid-based geographic information management and big data technologies to accurately evaluate and manage the effective supply of medical insurance resources for urban insured populations, providing real-time assessments and consultations for the geographical placement of new designated medical institutions and pharmacies. Providing real-time and precise resource presentations to medical insurance administration departments and society, offering statistical support for the stock management and incremental planning of medical insurance designated medical institutions.
