On December 1st, 2023, the results of the 16th Shaanxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences were released. The School of Foreign Studies (SFS) has made a breakthrough, with Prof. Jiang Yue’s team got the first-prize, Prof. Sang Zhonggang got the second-prize, Prof. Meng Yaru’s team and Prof. Zhang Xiaopeng’s team got the third prize.

The Shaanxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Philosophy and Social Sciences is a biennial and the highest-level government award in this field granted by Shaanxi Province. It plays an important role in strengthening research on major theoretical and practical issues, promoting the development of philosophy and social sciences, and fostering the outstanding achievements.

SFS has given priority to scientific research in recent years and made remarkable progress. Specifically, 2 projects of national key research and development have been approved, 3 key projects and 19 general projects have been approved and received funding from the National Social Science Foundation of China. In addition, the number of published academic books, high-level papers and reports, and outstanding achievement awards has a steady increase.
