An overview

Dr. YONGZHONG LIU received his Ph. D. degree in 2000 from Xi’an Jiaotong University. He joined Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1992 after completing his Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering in Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has been Professor of Chemical Engineering since 2008. In 2004, he has been to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor as a visiting scholar working on the design and simulations of micro-reactors.

His research interests span a wide range of topics in Chemical Engineering, including

    • Modeling, Simulation and Optimization of Chemical Processes
    • Optimization and Flexibility Analysis of Renewable Energy Systems
    • Integration,Optimization and Scheduling on Battery Energy Storage Systems
    • Mitigation and Control Technique of Greenhouse Gases
    • Multi-period and Multi-objective Optimization
    • TEA and LCA Analysis
  • Transport Phenomena (TP)
    • Modeling and Simulation of Electrochemical Processes
    • Transport processes in Lithium-ion Batteries
    • Interfacial Phenomena in Porous Media / Multi-phase Flow
    • Heat and Mass Transfer in Chemical Engineering

He authored or co-authored over 180 peer-reviewed papers and  supervised over 60 graduate students.
