Research areas:
The research area focus on the pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis. The goal is to explore the interplay between demographic characteristics, lifestyle choices, and environmental exposures to reduce the incidence of osteoarthritis, minimize mortality rates, and improve the life expectancy of affected individuals.

Research experience & achievements:
Over the past three years, Dr. Abebe has published 4 SCI papers as the first author and 6 SCI papers as a co-author in esteemed journals such as BMJ Open, Frontiers in Public Health, BMC Infectious Diseases, The Lancet, and BMC Psychiatry. He has participated in the special funding projects supported by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Dr. Abebe is an editorial board member of the Scientific Reports journal and serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals, including BMC Infectious Diseases, Contraception and Reproductive Medicine, BMC Pediatrics, Vaccine, PLOS ONE, and Frontiers in Public Health.
