On December 29, 2016, Yulong Han in our center had his PhD final defense conference in 301 conference room 301 of the School of Life Science and Technology. His thesis is on the 3D microenvironment of the tumor cell and cell interaction in the microenvironment. Professor Xiaohui Zhang, Professor Jinxiong Zhou, associate professor Min Lin from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Professor Liting Lu from Northwestern Polytechnical University and Professor Haibin Xia were Shaanxi Normal University attended the as rejoin committee members. Yulong Han reviewed his work from three aspects including background information, main work and his future plan. In the end, all the committee members agreed to grant Yulong Han engineering Ph.D degree and submitted the results to the college and the school.

Yulong Han is one of the best students in BEBC. During his PhD period, he has many academic achievements，including 9 patents and 21 articles (17 SCI papers, 8 first author articles). He has won national scholarship twice and The academic pacesetter of the Xi’an Jiaotong University. During his third year of PhD, he went to Harvard University as an exchange student and had a two-year study in David A. Weitz research group.
