XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) recently held an unveiling ceremony for the Hall of Fusion, which is the latest cultural landmark at XJTLU. The Hall of Fusion in Taicang follows the three gates of Enlightenment, Cultivation, and Wisdom and the Hall of EEE (Eureka, Enlightenment, and Ecstasy) at the SIP campus.

During the unveiling ceremony, Professor Youmin Xi, XJTLU’s Executive President, was joined by Jinghua Zhao, Party Secretary, Vice Chairman, and Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Management; Yong Shi, the legal representative of the Chinese Academy of Management; and Professor Haijun Huang, Vice President and Party Committee member of Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics); to jointly unveil the Hall of Fusion.

The hall originates from Lukeng Village in Wuyuan, Jiangxi province, and was once part of the family residence of Zhan Tianyou, a prominent figure from the Qing Dynasty known as the “Father of China’s Railroads”. Before it took its current form, the hall was carefully dismantled, restored, and rebuilt over nine months.

The hall consists of two storeys and features a wooden mortise-and-tenon structure. Stone-carved windows, smooth plastered walls, and dark-tiled gables form the exterior. The central hall showcases intricate Hui-style wood carving. The overall structure is symmetrically arranged along a central axis, with eaves that curve upwards. The roof’s ridge is adorned with finely carved ornaments and cultural motifs, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship and cultural history.

On the same day as the unveiling ceremony, the Chinese Academy of Management Annual Meeting took place at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang), with distinguished guests from academia and the business world in attendance. Led by President Youmin Xi, the guests, along with faculty and student representatives from XJTLU, visited the Hall of Fusion.
