Abstract
‘Multi+’, the theme of the 2024 MSc Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) Winter Exhibition, represents the meaning of diversity, innovation and integration, symbolizing infinite possibilities, multiple integration and continuous innovation. The exhibition’s theme also encourages our students to explore multiple possibilities in their professional fields and show diversified creativity and critical thinking. The exhibition showcases the excellent coursework related to the students’ creativities, which mainly includes the CCI year one modules, such as, FTA421 Introduction to Cultural and Creative Industries, FTA422 Cultural and Media Policies, FTA425 Research Methods for Cultural and Creative Industries, and FTA427 Visual Cultures and beyond.
The exhibition especially emphasizes the importance of innovation and diversity. The excellent coursework showcase is planned to be exhibited in a wide range of disseminating media and art forms, such as videos, posters, photographs and installations, in order to demonstrate a variety of cultural elements and social issues to some extent, with the extensive interests and profound understanding generated from our CCI students.
The exhibition aims to provide a platform for showcasing and exchanging ideas, allowing students to share their works and thoughts, as well as to gain inspiration from the works of others. The exhibition is not only an acknowledgement of the students’ semester-long learning achievements but also an encouragement for them to continue to pursue excellence in their future academic fields and career paths.
In addition, the exhibition serves as a great gateway to the cultural and creative industries, which helps to engage the receptions with audiences both on- and off-campus. By holding this event, we are excited to contribute to the growth of cultural and creative industries by fostering innovation and vitality through initiatives like this.
