On May 30th, to further promote university-primary/secondary school collaboration and enhance the practical teaching skills of pre-service teachers, a delegation from the School of Foreign Languages, including Party Secretary Zhang Mingping, English Education Program Director Li Xia, supervising teacher Ge Huarong, and practicum instructor Wang Xiang, visited Jiangsu Province Zhenjiang High School. The delegation was warmly received by Tang Yi, Vice Principal of Zhenjiang High School, and other school leaders. The two parties held an in-depth discussion in the school’s conference room.
At the meeting, Zhang Mingping first expressed gratitude to Zhenjiang High School for its long-standing support of the practicum work of the School of Foreign Languages. He noted that Zhenjiang High School, as a key practicum base for the School of Foreign Languages, provides an excellent platform for pre-service teachers, enabling them to grow in a real-world educational environment. The visit aimed to gain insights into the current experiences of practicum students, gather feedback and suggestions from the school, and further improve the practicum teaching plan to enhance its quality.
After the meeting, the delegation observed the teaching activities of English practicum students in classrooms. They highly praised the students’ performance and provided constructive suggestions for further improvement.
This visit not only strengthened the collaboration between the School of Foreign Languages and Zhenjiang High School but also provided valuable experience for the teacher education practicum program. The School of Foreign Languages will continue to deepen cooperation with its practicum bases, jointly explore and innovate pre-service teacher training models, and cultivate more high-quality teaching talents for society.
