Dean of University of Bristol Business School (UK), Visited Tongji SEM

On Nov 7, 2024, a delegation from the University of Bristol Business School (UK) led by their Dean Prof. Brian Squire visited Tongji SEM. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. XIE En, Dean of SEM, Professor Kim Kenneth, Professor of the Department of Economics and Finance, and Ms. SHOU Yuexian, Director of the Public Relations and Communication Center and Deputy Director of EMBA and MBA programs, along with staff from International Cooperation and Accreditation Office.
Prof. XIE En expressed his warmly welcome to the visit and introduced in detail the achievements of the college in discipline construction, faculty, scientific research and international cooperation. During the meeting, both sides had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the establishment of joint talent cultivation and the promotion of mutual visits of teachers and students.
Prof. XIE emphasized the importance of making greater contributions to jointly promote the training of interdisciplinary talents and high-level academic research, and to the cultivation of high-quality talents with an international outlook and innovation ability, by taking advantage of both strengths in computer science, artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge fields.
The visit not only enhanced the understanding and friendship between the two institutes, but also pointed out the direction for future cooperation and development. SEM will take this opportunity to further strengthen the cooperation and exchange with the top institutions in the UK, and inject new vitality into the development of academic research and education.

University of Bristol Business School in the FT (Financial Times) global business school ranked 81, which economic professionals in the UK University of Economics and Econometrics QS rankings of the top ten list, in the UK local recognition.
