Qualification

Tongji EMBA Admission Requirements

1. Nationality: Citizen of the People's Republic of China.

2. Political Integrity: Uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China; demonstrate moral integrity, compliance with laws, and commitment to serving the nation and its people;

3. Holistic Competence: Possess the foundational qualities to become future societal leaders and professional elites with well-rounded development in ethics, intellect, physique, aesthetics, and labor.

4. Health Condition: Meet the health examination standards prescribed by the Chinese government and Tongji University.

5. Academic Qualifications (fulfill one of the following):

• Nationally recognized Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of post-graduation work experience (calculated until September 1, 2026. The same applies below);

• Nationally recognized associate degree or bachelor's degree completion certificate with 5+ years of experience;

• Master's or Ph.D. degree with 2+ years of post-degree experience.

6. International Degree Holders: Applicants with overseas degrees must provide the Certificate of Foreign Academic Degree Recognition issued by the China Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), with academic requirements aligning with Condition 4. Applicants must possess a minimum of 8 years of cumulative work experience, including at least 4 years of managerial experience. (The work experience requirement may be relaxed in exceptional cases.)

7. Application for the Tongji–National Sun Yat-sen University CSEMBA Program: Only candidates from the Taiwan region who hold a valid Taiwan identity document and a “Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents” or a “Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents” are eligible to apply. Candidates must first be admitted by National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan) before they are qualified to register for the "Entrance Examination for Postgraduate Programs of Mainland Universities for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Candidates" and apply for admission to Tongji University.
