On December 6, 2024, the Teaching Advisory Committee Meeting for the National Physics Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center (Southwest Jiaotong University) was held in meeting room X30345 at the Xi Pu campus of Southwest Jiaotong University. Attendees included Professors Han Zhong, Li Jinhui, Zhang Liuwan, Xiang Gang, Zhang Pei (online), and Li Xiangqiang from the Teaching Advisory Committee. The meeting was chaired by Ni Yuxiang, Vice Dean of the School of Physical Science and Technology.
Ji Jinghao, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Southwest Jiaotong University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Also present were Jia Huanyu, Dean of the School of Physical Science and Technology, Li Xiangqiang, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Gao Hongmei, Head of the Experimental Teaching and Construction Management Section, and relevant faculty members from the demonstration center.
Professor Han Zhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Physics at Chongqing University, was appointed as the new Chair of the Teaching Advisory Committee. Other committee members included Professor Li Jinhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Physics at Northeast Normal University and Director of the National Level Experimental Teaching Center for Physics Education; Professor Zhang Liuwan, Director of the National Level Experimental Teaching Center at Tsinghua University; Professor Xiang Gang, Vice Dean of the College of Physics at Sichuan University; and Professor Zhang Pei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the National Level Experimental Teaching Center at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Deputy Director Ji Jinghao presented the appointment letters to the Chair and committee members.
Professor Li Xiangqiang, Director of the demonstration center, presented the annual work report for 2023 and 2024. Deputy Director Fan Daihe reported on the development plan for the demonstration center. The meeting reviewed and approved the annual work reports for 2023 and 2024. The committee members discussed the construction, development, management, and operation of the demonstration center, expressing high recognition for its related work and offering valuable opinions and suggestions.
The meeting served as a summary of the annual work of the National Physics Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center (Southwest Jiaotong University) while also providing insights and directions for the center's future development. The demonstration center will take this meeting as an opportunity to align with national strategies and the university's development plans, actively promoting the construction of a high-level experimental teaching demonstration center.
