c. A copy of the applicant’s passport. Please ensure the passport is valid for 6 month at least before your visa application.

d. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy). The original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form is uniformly printed by Chinese healthy quarantine departments. It must be written in English and can be downloaded from /swjtu/smu_en/FOREIGNER_PHYSICAL_EXAMINAT_ON_FORM.pdf The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.

e. Financial Guarantee Letter (in RMB or USD) issued by the bank and certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate. It must cover the tuition fees and living expense needed for study in China.

This kind of program can be highly customized. Besides usual school time, summer and winter schools (1-4 weeks) are also available from July to August and January to February every year. The programs mainly focus on Participants will have rigorous training in Chinese language and culture.
