Education:

B.S., Heilongjiang Institute of Science and Technology (China),         Geology, 1994

M.S., Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Academia Sinica (NIGPAS), Palaeontology, 2000

Ph. D., Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Academia Sinica (NIGPAS), Palaeontology, 2003

Research Interests:

Terrestrial Mesozoic stratigraphy. Systematics of bivalves. Integration of paleontology, stratigraphy and sedimentology in reconstructing past environmental changes, especially concerning on the formation of the Jehol Biota in western Liaoning, NE China.

Currently working on: 1) the terrestrial T-J boundary in southern China, where we found several very good sections consisting of alternated marine and nonmarine deposits with some pyroclastic intercalations. We are aiming to erect a nonmarine T-J boundary using integration of marine fossils (we have collected amounts of marine bivalves and ammonites), contents of organic carbon and radiometric dating; taphonomy of the Daohugou and Jehol biotas.

Teaching:

Palaeontology and Historical Geology (2006-2007), undergraduate students

Vertabrate Palaeontology (2007-2008; 2009-2010; 2010-2011; 2012-2013), undergraduate students

Field Training of Geological Survey (2006-2009), undergraduate students

2004-2006. Postdoctoral Fellow, School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Nanjing University

2006-2014. Associate Professor, School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Nanjing University

2015-          Professor, School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Nanjing University
