From May 9 to 10, the 5th International Refractory Forum for Postgraduates was held. More than 300 experts and scholars from universities and research institutes in 7 countries including China, Germany, Brazil, Austria, Poland, South Korea and Iran participated in the forum online or offline.
The forum selected 6 winners of the Best Oral Presentation Award and 4 of the Best Poster Award. Wang Lulu, a doctoral student co-supervised by Associate Professor Ma Beiyue from the School of Metallurgy and Professor Liu Chunming from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of NEU, won the Best Poster Award with her work Preparation and Properties of Porous Cordierite Ceramics: The Role of ZrO2-MxOy (M: La, Ce, Nb).
The International Refractory Forum for Postgraduates was co-initiated by Wuhan University of Science and Technology and Austrian Montanuniversitaet Leoben. Having been held for five consecutive sessions, it has become an important platform for postgraduate cultivation and academic exchanges among universities and research institutes in the field of refractory materials.
