On May 6, NEU and Neusoft jointly conducted an online technical seminar on smart medical care. Liu Jiren, chairman of Neusoft, was present at the seminar and delivered a speech. Zhang Xia, senior vice-president and chief technology officer of Neusoft, Cheng Wanjun, Hong Xiren, Cai Wei and Chen Deyan, representatives of Neusoft Intelligent Medical Research Institute, Fu Jun, dean of the School of Future Technologies and acting dean of the Faculty of Robot Science and Engineering of NEU, and Wang Fei and Ding Qichuan, representatives of full-time teachers from the Faculty of Robot Science and Engineering attended the seminar.
Liu Jiren introduced the current development of Neusoft Medical, and elaborated the future development trend of smart medical care from such aspects as clinical engineering, telemedicine and disease prevention. The two parties are expected to give full play to their advantages in medical resources and medical robot technology, establish joint laboratories, set up joint technology teams, and carry out in-depth cooperation in scientific research, talent cultivation, industry-university-research cooperation and achievement transformation, so as to achieve win-win development, he said.
Fu Jun introduced the latest development of the School of Future Technologies and the Faculty of Robot Science and Engineering in the aspects of talent cultivation mode, interdisciplinary research, and university-enterprise cooperation and exchange. He expressed the hope that they can carry out all-round and in-depth cooperation with Neusoft on medical surgical robots, rehabilitation assisted robots, medical information processing and other related aspects involved in smart medical care. On behalf of the Faculty of Robot Science and Engineering, Wang Fei reported their scientific research development ideas and related achievements, with the typical new intelligent robot technology in the field of smart medical care as the key point.
At the seminar, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on the technical details of intelligent cooperative surgery robots and smart assisted elderly care robots. Both parties agreed to give full play to their respective advantages, strengthen resource sharing, and jointly promote the innovative application of new intelligent robot technologies in the field of smart medical care.
