On November 14, the final of the 11th “Lan Qiao Cup” National Competition for Software and Information Technology Professionals was held. A total of more than 800 players from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University and other colleges and universities participated in the competition, including 55 from NEU. After four hours of intense competition, NEU students won 2 national first prizes, 22 national second prizes, 19 national third prizes and 9 national honorable mentions in Java Software Development University Group A, C/C++ Programming University Group A and Python Programming.
The “Lan Qiao Cup” National Competition for Software and Information Technology Professionals is a professional event for colleges and universities across the country. It is sponsored by the MOE Steering Committee of Computer Science and Technology Teaching in Colleges and Universities and the MIIT Talent Exchange Center, and co-organized by the China Software Industry Association and the MOE Steering Committee of Computer Science Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges. Since 2014, NEU has been responsible for organizing the competition in Liaoning province for seven consecutive years.
