During October 31-November 1, the 13th National Conference on Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship sponsored by the Ministry of Education was held in Chongqing University. One academic paper, one demonstration project and one entrepreneurship promotion project of NEU stood out from 875 projects recommended by the colleges and universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education and local education authorities, and were finally selected for this conference.
The academic paper A High-sensitivity SPR Biosensor with a New Sandwich Structure written by students Song Xing, Wang Qi and Zhao Wanming under the guidance of teacher Wang Qi from NEU’s College of Information Science and Engineering was selected as an innovative academic exchange project. The project An Intelligent Fire-fighting Robot Based on Machine Vision and Laser Radar completed by students Zhao Jingyu, Li Jie, Bao Guanghui, Huang Zhihao and He Wujun under the guidance of teacher Lu Zhiguo from NEU’sSchool of Mechanical Engineering and Automation was selected as an experience exchange project; The project Shui Yun Zhi Meng – An IOT-based Intelligent Hydrological Monitoring and Service System completed by students Sun Zhaoyu, Cui Xiuwen, Wang Ying, Sui Chaoye, Liao Xu and Du Sijing under the guidance of teacher Yu Zhuchao from NEU’s School of Business Administration was selected as an entrepreneurship promotion project.
Song Xing from the College of Information Science and Engineering and Wang Ying from the School of Business Administration respectively delivered an academic paper report and took part in the business promotion project exchanges on the spot on behalf of their own project team. Li Jie from the College of Information Science and Engineering participated in the online demonstration in the activity of experience exchange.
The National Conference on Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an important annual activity based on China’s “College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan”. Under the theme of “Brighten youth, create future”, the conference this year includes three themed activities: innovative academic exchange, project demonstration for experience exchange, and entrepreneurship project promotion.
