In 2006, our team began to cooperate with Chinalco Zhongzhou Branch to carry out the research on "Preparation of Al-Si-Fe from Bauxite Flotation Tailings", and successfully obtained a large number of Al-Si-Fe alloys. In 2011, ferroaluminum-silicon was prepared from oil shale residue, and the magnesium smelting test by Pijiang method was carried out with the prepared ferroaluminum-silicon as a reducing agent. In 2017, the work began to focus on the harmless and resource treatment of solid waste and hazardous waste in the aluminum industry in Huolinguole area of Inner Mongolia. It covers almost all solid wastes related to electrolytic aluminum industry, such as coal gangue, fly ash, desulfurized gypsum, secondary aluminum ash, overhaul slag (waste cathode carbon block, waste tank lining) and waste diatomite slag, and makes aluminum-silicon-ferroalloy, steelmaking deoxidizer, desulfurizer, calcium silicate plate and porous geopolymer. At the same time, we cooperated with Shanxi Baseot Technology Co., Ltd. and Fushun Tiancheng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to develop the application technology of basalt fiber. At present, we have developed a basalt fiber inorganic sizing agent and basalt fiber high-temperature filter bags, which will play a significant role in the treatment of dusty high-temperature flue gas.
