According to the 2019 statistical results of Chinese science and technology papers published by Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China on Nov. 19th, 5235 papers of Northeastern University (NEU) had been included by SCI EI and ISTP, of which 2364 papers were included by SCI (ranked 32nd among the universities in the whole country), 2547 papers were included by EI (ranked 21st), and 533 papers were published by SCI journals with top 1/10 impact factor (ranked 33rd).
The basic research and original innovation capabilities of NEU have been significantly improved in recent years. The number of papers included by SCI in 2018 was 3.6 times more than that in 2011, while the number of papers published by SCI journals with top 1/10 impact factor in 2018 was 7.3 times more than that in 2011.
