Profile

ZHOU Yu


Ph.D (Tianjin University), master's supervisor, Lecturer of Faculty of Architecture, HUST. He got his Bachelor, Master and Doctors degree in Tianjin University. He was a visiting scholar of Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, and attended the research project of Urban Knowledge of Network Asia (UKNA), which was funded by the foundation of Maria Curie Action of European Union.


He has been teaching courses of Architectural Design, Analysis of Contemporary Architectural Works for undergraduate students, and acting as the co-teacher of workshops given by foreign professions. His research interests are mainly in urban form, and the focus is the quantitative research of street interface. The relative domain such as space cognition and assessment, urban planning regulations and control methods, protection and renewal of historic districts are also in his research field. He takes charge of one research project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), one research project of the Open Foundation of the State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science (South China University of Technology), and one research project of Innovation Foundation of HUST. He has published near 10 papers in authoritative journals in relative research domain.
