Yi Wang is a Associate Professor in State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion (SKLCC), School of Energy and Power Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. He received his Bachelor and Master in Thermal Power Engineering from HUST, in 2006 and 2009, and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University, Australia, in 2012, respectively. He also experienced a postdoctoral research fellowship at Fuels and Energy Technology Institute, Curtin University, Perth, Australia, during 2012-2014. During 2015-2016, he was seconded to China science and technology exchange center, Ministry of Science and Technology, China. His research interests have been focused on thermo-chemical conversion technologies of coal/biomass and hydrocarbon wastes to renewable bio-fuels and value-added carbonaceous materials. He is hosting 5 chinese national research projects and industrial projects. He has co-authored more than 100 papers in journals with H index of 22. He received the first prize of Hubei Province Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018 and ‘Chutian Scholars’ Program.
