Prof. Marco Haase and A/Prof. Xie Libin visited the Faculty of Law, and gave a lecture on Democracy and Rule of Law on the afternoon of 9 Dec, 2013.

Haase first introduced the opposite views from Carl Schmitt and Juergen Habermas on democracy and the rule of law, and then claimed his own opinion on the relationshio between this two notions. Xie dicussed the importance of enchancing democracy and conducing the rule of law under a Chinese circumstance. The audience reacted positively during the lecture.

On Hasse and Xie's visiting, they also had an informal talk with the Faculty in terms of cooperation possibility, and reached a preliminary agreement.
