In order to improve the quality of scientific research, the College held a Comparative Law Research Workshop -- Experience Sharing on the Application and Writing for National Social Science Fund Projects on Haidian campus on the afternoon of 23 April, 2024.

Professor Liu Yanhong, Dean of the School of Criminal Justice of CUPL, was invited to give a report. The report was moderated by Deputy Dean of the College Prof. Xie Libin. Dean of the College Prof. Xie Zhiyong delivered opening remarks. Teaching faculty members and doctoral candidates of the college participated in the event enthusiastically.

At the beginning of the lecture, Xie Zhiyong expressed his heartfelt thanks to Liu Yanhong for her support of the workshop. According to him, Liu Yanhong is an outstanding scholar in the country's legal science community, who won the title of the seventh National Outstanding Young Jurist and achieved fruitful scientific research results in criminal law and criminology.

Subsequently, Liu Yanhong started the lecture from project type introduction, corresponding application form writing and points to note for application. She shared her extensive experience in applying for projects under the National Social Science Fund, focusing on the meaning and background of the topic, academic value and application value, research content, key and difficult points, research plan, feasibility, frame of thought, specific content of outline, innovation, expected results and references. In addition, she provided additional details on key projects, post projects and the National Library for Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Results.

At the end of the lecture, Liu had a heated discussion with the teaching faculty present and answered the questions from the audiences in detail.

The workshop helped the teaching faculty, especially the young lecturers, open up scientific research perspective and clarify the application ideas.
