Gao Xiang attends the First Sino-African Law Deans’ Conference

Dean of the College of Comparative Law Prof. Gao Xiang attended the First Sino-African Law Deans' Conference during 27 to 28 March and gave a speech on Challenges Facing China in the Area of Comparative Law Research.

The conference, co-organized by the Renmin University of China and the University of Cape Town, dealt with five themes on the Political Background of Sino-Africa Legal Education, Challenges in Sino-Africa Legal Research, Challenges in Course Reform and Development, Challenges Facing Sino-Africa Law Schools in Teaching and Studies and Collaboration between Law Schools in China and Africa.

16 deans from law schools in China and 15 deans from African countries attended this conference. They later signed Chinese-African Law Schools Cooperation Framework Agreement to enhance the exchange and cooperation in student exchange, faculty communication, joint publication, academic resource share and joint conference.
