The seventeenth Annual Conference of the European Law Research Association of the Chinese Association for European Studies & Seminar on the Extraterritorial Effects of EU Law and the Construction of Foreign-related Rule of Law, hosted by the European Law Research Association and organised by the School of Law of Guangxi University, was held in Nanning City, Guangxi Province from 24 to 26 May, 2024.

According to the directive of the Chinese Association for European Studies, the European Law Research Association completed its council reelection during this annual conference, which resulted in the fourth council. Professor Zhang Tong from the Institute of European Law of the College was elected as the Vice President of the Association, and young faculty member Jiang Feng'an as a council member.

The conference brought together more than 120 experts and scholars from over 20 research institutions, publishing houses and law firms, including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Wuhan University, Guangxi University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Nanjing University, Shandong University, Central South University, Fudan University, University of International Business and Economics, China University of Political Science and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Nankai University, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law and China Social Sciences Press.

During the seminar session, Jiang Feng'an presented an academic report on the Evolution of EU ESG Regulation Rules and Their Impact on China. He also provided comments for the EU Law Research Student Academic Forum.
