CHANG-ES: VLA observations of AGN feedback and magnetic field in nearby edge-on galaxies

Abstract:
Feedback activity plays an important role in the evolution of SMBHs and their host galaxies. Radio continuum observations will be an excellent method to study jet-mode LLAGN and cosmic ray electrons. This talk will present some observational results of the Continuum Halos in Nearby Galaxies an Expanded Very Large Array Survey (CHANG-ES). CHANG-ES maps the radio continuum halos of 35 edge-on spiral galaxies at multi-band with multiple spatial resolutions. I will discuss the morphology and spectral index of our radio continuum map, and present the polarized emission and Faraday rotation measure method to constraint the magnetic field.
