Over 170,000 students from 367 universities participated in the national competition, which included nearly 25,000 projects in the humanities, sciences, engineering, and medicine disciplines. Following preliminary and online final evaluations, 404 projects advanced to the on-site finals, and 101 ultimately received gold awards.
Yunnan University attached great importance to this event since the campus selection began in late September. More than 1,500 students and 173 projects participated, with six projects advancing to the on-site national finals.
The university's campus selection process highlighted outstanding interdisciplinary projects addressing real-world issues in Yunnan's economic and social development. Notable examples include the creation of a Southeast Asian language-based criminal justice interpreter training system and research on the sustainable development of ethnic minority villages within the China-Laos Railway international cultural and tourism economic belt.
Yunnan University plans to continue fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging students to apply their expertise to solve practical problems.
