渥太华大学(University of Ottawa)

加拿大渥太华大学成立于1848年,是北美历史最古老、规模最大的双语(英语与法语)教学的大学。该校位于加拿大的首府渥太华市中心,距离国会山不足2,000米,与首都几大图书馆、博物馆、政府机关和科研所相毗邻,为师生获取国家信息资源提供了便利。

厦门大学王亚南经济研究院(WISE)  
厦门大学经济学科发展历史悠久,是目前全国同时拥有国家一级理论经济学科与一级应用经济学科的三所高校之一,长期以来一直在全国享有盛誉。成立于2005年的厦门大学王亚南经济研究院(简称WISE)是厦门大学依托传统经济学科优势,为实现国际化办学而成立的新型经济学科教学与研究机构。

聘请了包括中国社会科学院顾问王洛林教授,美国普林斯顿大学经济学荣誉教授邹至庄,美国南加州大学经济学教授、国际一流期刊Journal of Econometrics 主编萧政,美国宾夕法尼亚大学经济学教授、1980年诺贝尔经济学奖获得者Lawrence Klein等多位蜚声学界的经济学家担任学术顾问,并拥有近50位在国外一流大学取得博士学位的优秀海归博士作为师资中坚。WISE 还拥有全国首个也是目前唯一一个文理交叉学科的重点实验室——“计量经济学教育部重点实验室。在致力于严谨规范的现代经济学、金融学研究与教学的同时,WISE 在计量经济学、现代金融学和金融计量学等领域拥有卓越的实力,并在很短的时间内打造出了厦门大学数量金融学的学术品牌。此外,WISE 充分利用自身的国际教育资源,整合在计量经济学、现代金融学、金融计量学、微观经济学、实验经济学、劳动经济学和人力资源管理等方面的教学与科研优势,进一步加强与国际上众多知名研究型大学的国际合作关系,积极推动厦门大学乃至中国经济学科教育与国际学术界的交流与合作,现已成为中国及亚太地区一个活跃的,有影响力的经济学研究机构、高级人才培养基地和国际学术交流中心。


二.项目内容

招生对象:大三大四在读学生、本科毕业生,具有本科学历的在职人员(专业不限)

项目模式:

第一年在厦大由WISE优质海归师资全英文授课和严格专业训练(配中文助教),为第二年出国深造并顺利攻读硕士学位做好充分准备。

第二年赴渥太华大学攻读硕士学位(可获得教育部认可)

授课内容:主要为夯实学生学科知识的经济金融管理商科类基础课程及帮助学生了解西方社会的文化类课程,更配助教辅导课。

相关要求:

1 成绩良好,通过渥太华大学和厦门大学经济学科共同组织的考核即可入读为期一年的留学准备课程。

2 出国前需通过所规定的留学准备课程考试(不低于70分),且英语成绩达到雅思6.5或托福92-93分。

3 其他出国要求:大学本科期间平均分需达70分,出国网申前需提供两封教授推荐信。

学位授予:通过准备课程的考核并达到渥太华大学的入学要求后,即可赴渥太华大学进行硕士学习,达到相应学分要求后即可获得渥太华大学硕士学位。

ECO 3152 Macroeconomic   Theory III (3 units)

Foundations of macroeconomic theory. Business cycle theories.   Monetary and fiscal policies in a closed economy. Neoclassical and other   modern growth theories.


ECO 3153 Microeconomic   Theory III (3 units)

The neo-classical theories of consumption and production, focus   on primal and dual optimization problems; uncertainty; partial and general   equilibrium, first welfare theorem and Pareto efficiency. A treatment of one   or more of the following topics: game theory, externalities and public goods;   asymmetric information.

ECO 5185 Econometrics I   (3 units)

The classical model of multiple linear regression. Relaxation of   the classical least-squares assumptions: autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity   and multicollinearity. Generalized least-squares estimation. Simultaneous   equation models: foundation, specification, identification, and estimation.   Indirect least-squares and two-stage least squares methods of estimation.   Distributed-lag models. Dummy variables. Pooling cross-section and   time-series data. This course is equivalent to ECON 5027 at Carleton   University.

Macroeconomic theory, including topics such as economic growth, consumption,   investment, real and nominal frictions in the goods, labour, and credit   markets, models of short-run economic fluctuations, and monetary and fiscal   policy design. This course is equivalent to ECON 5021 at Carleton University.

ECO 6122 Microeconomic   Theory IV (3 units)

Microeconomic theory, including topics such as utility   maximization and individual choice, decision-making under uncertainty,   producer theory (technology, costs, and profit maximization), alternative   market structures (competition, monopoly, and oligopoly), general   equilibrium, and the economics of information. This course is equivalent to   ECON 5020 at Carleton University.

2.   所有报名资料由厦大经济学科海外留学硕士班及渥太华大学经济硕士项目录取委员会审核,根据申请者的学历背景及笔试、面试结果择优录取。
