【8】2008年3月-4月，WISE新加坡管理大学应用金融硕士留学项目招生工作正式开展，由WISE工作人员和学生组成的招生工作小组分赴厦门和上海地区，进行2008年项目招生推广工作。参加此次招生工作的人员包括WISE方颖教授、洪永淼教授、郑鸣教授、罗智超老师、林颖老师、宋江红老师、张强老师、博士后刘娟以及SMU-MAF2007级在读学生和WISE志愿学生。目前该项目招生工作还在进行之中，厦门和上海两地区报名形势与去年相比显著上升。
【9】2008年WISE成功招聘4位即将毕业于欧美高校的青年海归教师，他们分别是：美国伊利诺伊大学经济学系Brett Graham、加拿大女皇大学经济学系任宇、意大利博可尼大学经济学系牛霖琳、英国兰卡斯特大学金融学系张元元。张元元已于2008年2月顺利通过论文答辩并顺利获得博士头衔，其他三位将于2008年夏季拿到相应专业的博士学位。
