Organic substances are synthesized using electrochemical oxidation or reduction.

   Compared with organic synthesis, organic electrochemical synthesis has unique advantages: for example, it can be realized by the reactantsgaining or losing electrons 

on the electrode without adding redox reagents; it can be carried out at room temperature and normal pressure,with mild reaction conditions and low requirements for the 

reaction equipment; and it is easy to control the electrode reaction and its rate byadjusting the electrode potential and current density.
