Zhaohong Lu

Dr. Lu Zhaohong graduated with a bachelor's degree from Sun Yat-sen University in 2010 and subsequently pursued his doctoral degree at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the supervision of Professor Li Ang. During his doctoral studies, he successfully completed the efficient synthesis of several complex natural product molecules with significant biological activities. Following this, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Stephen L. Buchwald's group and Wendlandt's group in the Department of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on metal catalysis, flow chemistry, electrochemistry and carbohydrate chemistry. In November 2020, he joined the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Xiamen University to carry out independent research. His research group's areas of interest include the total synthesis of highly biologically active complex natural products and organic electrochemical synthesis.
