Dear Students,
The phoenix flower blooms twice a year, once to mark the departure of graduating students and once to welcome new students. You came all the way to Xiamen University for advanced studies a couple of years ago, and now, in the blink of an eye, you’re preparing to return home after completing your studies. As you embark on the next phase of your life, there are undoubtedly many sentiments, thoughts and wishes that you would also like to share with us.
As your time in Xiamen comes to a close, we would love for you to share your cherished memories with us. These precious moments may also be featured in our upcoming video for promoting international admissions!
I. Requirements
1. The themes of your photos/videos, related to your life as an international student, are up to you. However, the content should be positive, constructive, and innovative.
2. Please provide original photos/videos (without modification) and include a brief description of the content, highlights, creativity and other aspects of the work ( Appendix International Student PhotosVideos Registration Form.docx).
3. If the work is not your own, you must obtain the consent of the relevant parties before submitting.
II. Intended Use
Your work may be used for the following purposes (including, but not limited to):
1. Videos for promoting Xiamen University's international admissions
2. The “XMU” and “XMU Admissions” WeChat official accounts
3. Xiamen University's admissions website, international student admissions website, and other related websites
4. “Study in China” and other websites promoting studying in China
III. Rewards and Support
1. International students who post this message on their WeChat Moments and in a WeChat group and who submit a work can present proof of this at the Song’en Building and receive a small gift! Those whose works are selected will also receive a “Phoenix Flower” mascot!
2. If you want to take photos but do not have a photographer, we would be more than happy to help! Simply send us an email with your name, contact information, and a convenient time and location. We suggest that international students form groups of three or more, and we will arrange for a photography team to take 3 or 4 sets of photos.
IV. How to Submit
Please send your photos/videos and registration form or photographing/filming requirements to admissions@xmu.edu.cn no later than July 31, 2023.
