Personal profile:

Dr. Wu is an awardee of the national youth talent program and “Young Talent Support Plan” of Xi’an Jiaotong University. In recent years, Dr. Wu’s research mainly focuses on the impact of air pollution on population health, early effect markers and intervention measures. He has published over 150 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals including Eur Heart J, Am J Psychiatry, J Am Soc Nephrol, J Clin Oncol, Environ Health Perspect, Environ Sci Technol, Environ Int, Int J Epidemiol, etc. Multiple articles were published with editorials, official press releases or selected as the cover article/annual article of import of the journals. Dr. Wu has served as the Principal Investigator of many research projects funded by the National Key R & D Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He received the first Young Scientist Award of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES), and won the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award (3/4) in 2018. He is currently a member of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) Policy Committee, and a former councilor of ISEE Asia and Western Pacific Chapter. He is also a councilor of China Environmental Mutagen Society (CEMS), a member of the Environmental Health Standards Professional Committee of the National Committee for Disease Control and Prevention, and a member of the Environmental Health Branch of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine.
