Academician Lian Zhou Summer Seminar of Electron Microscopy Technique Held by Key State Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials

Academician Lian Zhou Summer Seminar of Electron Microscopy Technique was held by Key State Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials from June 24th to 28th and 20 PhDs from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Nanjing University of Technology and Xi'an Jiaotong University took part. The Summer Seminar was proposed by Lian Zhou, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as the State Key Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials (XJTU) and Northwest Institute for Non-ferrous Metal Research.
On the afternoon of June 23rd, the opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. Zhiwei Shan, the Executive Director of CAMP-Nano, in the room 320 of MSE building. Prof. Shan welcomed all the attendants, and gave a brief introduction of the CAMP-Nano.
During the seminar, reports about preparation of TEM samples, FIB, FESEM, ETEM, HRTEM, nano-mechanical testing system and network reservation system of laboratory equipment were given by laboratory supervisors, respectively. Then, students learned hands-on equipment operations and analytical techniques.
On the morning of 28th, the seminar ended up with a Q&A session.
