Personal profile

Dr Songyan Du is Assistant Professor in Translation and Interpreting. She obtained her MA in Language Studies from National University of Singapore and her PhD in Linguistics from Queen Mary University of London. Prior to joining XJTLU, she worked as Teaching Associate at the Department of Linguistics, Queen Mary University of London, and Course Convenor in London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership. Her research interests include audiovisual translation, multimodality, discourse analysis and sociolinguistics.
